Michele and Luke first crossed paths during their college years, forging a strong friendship that spanned a decade before turning into a romantic relationship amidst the challenges of the pandemic. Luke’s mother resides year-round on Martha’s Vineyard. Once they were engaged, the island proved to be the perfect backdrop for their wedding celebration.
Katama is the southernmost neighborhood of Edgartown. South-facing, its most notable beach is aptly named South Beach. Luke’s mother lives in Katama, so the couple decided that there was no better place to get married than Katama
A Katama wedding guarantees a laid-back atmosphere, salt air, and beautiful ocean views.
The bride got ready at the Katama house. She wore a gorgeous off the shoulder a line dress with pearl buttons, and her mom helped her into it with a crochet hook.
The groom got ready at his family home which was conveniently across the street.
Rain came in the morning so Michele and Luke opted for their first look inside the house where they were hosting their wedding. The stunning bride beamed as she waited for her groom.
A first look is always one of our favorite moments, his face always says it all!
The ceremony was at St. Elizabeth’s Church on Main Street in downtown Edgartown. Built in 1925, it is one of three parishs for the catholic church on the Island.
And finally married!
The Bride and Groom wanted to take some photos down by the Edgartown harbor, and stopped by some icon locations along the way.
A quick stop at the Wharf for some libations!
Their wedding reception was held at a private house in Katama. Under a tent with their closest 65 guests.
Tying the Knots provided gorgeous watercolor stationery that replicated the scenery of Edgartown. Perfect for a Katama wedding!
The Dukes of Circuit Ave played their hearts out and provided incredible live music the whole night!
The bride and groom opted for cutting into some donuts from the famous Back Door Donuts.
