Caitlin and Garrett saw the perfect opportunity to have their wedding on the Island when they one day stumbled upon the Sailing Camp in Oak Bluffs. The venue seats 75 comfortably and 100 max. It’s right on the waters of Lagoon Pond, and on a clear day the views extend into Vineyard Haven harbor.
Caitlin’s grandmother and her siblings live year round on the Island in Edgartown, so the Island has always had a found place in her and her families hearts. The groom and his family got ready at the Bride’s grandmother’s house in Edgartown.
The bride got ready at the Summercamp Hotel in downtown Oak Bluffs with her closest family surrounding her.
Though it rained earlier that day, by the time 4pm rolled around, the sky was clear and the sun was out. Caitlin and Garrett opted for a more traditional ceremony and did not have a first look beforehand. So the bride and groom were kept separated until that moment Caitlin walked down the aisle. A close friend oof the couple, Jeff, married them.
Afterward, the bride and groom took some time to get some photos with their families. They also spent some time getting so incredible photos of just the two of them.
Once the couple was introduced to their guests as man and wife, they went straight into their first dance. They spent time learning it at a local dance studio in Los Angeles.
The Sailing Camp has its own private beach on the shore of the Lagoon. The couple spent some time on the shore at sunset to get some incredible photos of just the two of them.
Following these incredible photos, DJ Dern got the party started on the dancefloor.
During the reception, dancing was fueled by mouthwatering desserts from Scottish Bakehouse. This couple certainly made the most of their wedding on Martha’s Vineyard.
