A lovely Sconset wedding on Nantucket

Charlotte and Justin were married on June 11th, 2022.

Charlotte and Justin met through Charlotte’s Aunt, Xandra. Justin was interning with Xandra and she thought it might be a good idea to set the two up. Charlotte thought why not, and the three met for lunch one day in Cambridge. After that, the rest was history.

Charlotte had spent lots of time on Nantucket throughout her childhood and thought that the Island would be the best place to share her big day with 30 of the couple’s closest family and friends.

June 11th was a picture perfect sky blue day on Nantucket. The couple spent the morning getting ready in a house on Union Street where they hosted their wedding parties.

One element of their wedding day that was really important to them was a first look. They stood on the steps of the house they rented on Union Street.

The couple wanted to get some iconic Nantucket shots together. Their first stop was the Sankaty Lighthouse in Sconset. The lighthouse was built in 1850 and is an iconic destination in the neighborhood.

Next stop was the footbridge. The Sconset Foot Bridge is a great place to get photos with the whole wedding party.

They were married at the iconic Siasconset Union Chapel church in Sconset. The church is located a quick 15 minute drive from downtown Nantucket.

And of course, no Siasconset Union Chapel wedding is complete without a bubble exit!

The reception was held at the historic Chanticleer Restaurant located across the street from the Chapel. Each napkin was adorned with a family crest that commemorates the joining of their lives.

The bride changed in to a second dress that perfectly complimented her ceremony dress.
